Recent National Weather Service and model consensus point to a high near 84°F in Denver on September 12 under partly cloudy skies with light easterly winds and only a 20% chance of afternoon showers. This setup favors the closely matched 82–85°F outcomes that together exceed 55% implied probability, as ample September sunshine and downslope warming support readings a few degrees above the 80°F climatological average while modest cloud cover and limited moisture prevent stronger heating. Forecasters note that any increase in afternoon convection or thicker high clouds could trim the peak by 1–2°F, whereas clearer conditions or stronger westerly flow would push readings into the upper 80s. The next NWS update and 12Z model runs tomorrow morning will provide the final inputs before resolution.
