Forecast models from the National Weather Service and local outlets indicate a high near 81–82°F in Denver on September 18, with scattered afternoon thunderstorms and partly to mostly cloudy skies. This setup creates tight odds between the 80–81°F and 82–83°F bins because convective clouds and precipitation can suppress peak heating by limiting solar insolation and enhancing evaporative cooling, while delayed or weaker storm development could allow stronger diurnal warming under clearer intervals. Above-average warmth relative to the late-September climatological normal of roughly 78°F stems from a warm, moist southerly flow, though thunderstorm timing remains the key variable that could shift the daily maximum across those two leading outcomes. Updated model runs and radar trends tomorrow morning will likely refine trader positioning ahead of resolution.
