**Forecast models from the Met Office and other agencies indicate a highest temperature in London on September 4 most likely between 21°C and 23°C, driven by increasing cloud cover, patchy drizzle, and light rain from the northwest that limits daytime heating.** After today’s warmer, sunnier conditions reaching the mid-20s, a freshening westerly flow and overcast skies are expected to cap afternoon peaks, with hourly guidance showing gradual rises to around 21–22°C before any late clearing. This aligns with the market’s heavy weighting toward 21–23°C outcomes. Model consensus supports these values over higher readings, though minor shifts in rain timing or wind could allow brief warmer spells near 24°C; historical early-September averages near 20°C provide context for the current fresher pattern. Updated forecasts tomorrow morning will refine the exact maximum before resolution.
