Forecast consensus from National Weather Service and global models points to a typical late-September marine layer regime in Los Angeles, with morning low clouds and fog giving way to afternoon sunshine under light onshore southwest flow. This setup caps daytime highs in the upper 70s to low 80s, aligning with the market's heavy weighting toward 76–79°F outcomes. Onshore winds near 10–15 mph and dew points in the mid-60s limit inland warming, while the absence of offshore flow or strong high pressure reduces heat risk. Updated model runs through Friday evening reinforced this narrow range, with minimal spread across ensembles. Traders appear to price in historical September averages near 80°F at downtown stations while discounting any late intensification before the 19th resolution window.
