Trader consensus on San Francisco's September 8 high temperature clusters tightly around 80–83°F, reflecting forecast model spread rather than a single dominant signal. National Weather Service and NOAA guidance highlight variable marine layer depth and onshore flow strength, which can suppress afternoon highs by several degrees along the coast while allowing brief warming if high pressure builds. Sea surface temperatures near normal and weak upper-level ridging provide limited support for readings above 85°F, consistent with historical September baselines. Ensemble spreads remain notable through the next model runs, with resolution hinging on observed maximums at official stations.
