Recent National Weather Service and ensemble model guidance for New York City points to a September 8 minimum in the mid-to-upper 60s°F, driven by clear to partly cloudy skies, light northwest winds, and dry air following a weak frontal passage. This setup favors efficient nighttime radiational cooling under high pressure, consistent with climatological norms of a 64°F average low. Trader positioning across the 64–67°F and 74°F+ brackets reflects uncertainty in short-term cloud trends and boundary-layer mixing, with potential for slight warming if onshore flow develops. Updated model runs and official National Weather Service forecasts over the next 48 hours will likely refine these ranges ahead of the observation window.
