Short-term ensemble forecasts from NOAA and the National Weather Service place Seattle's September 8 high temperature most likely between 72°F and 77°F, keeping the two leading market bins nearly tied. A building offshore high is expected to limit marine-layer cooling while allowing modest daytime warming, yet model spread remains wide because small shifts in low-level wind direction or cloud cover can alter peak readings by 3–5°F. Historical September averages near 74°F provide context, but current guidance shows no strong warm or cool anomaly. Traders are watching the next GFS and ECMWF runs plus the 00Z local forecast update for clearer resolution on whether conditions trend toward the upper or lower end of that narrow range.
