This market will resolve to "Yes" if the Treasury 30-year yield is lower than the listed value for any date between September 3, 2026 and September 30, 2026. Otherwise this market will resolve to "No". This market will resolve as soon as the Treasury 30-year yield is lower than the listed value, or once data is available for September 30, 2026. If no qualifying value is published and data is not available for September 30, 2026 by October 14, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The resolution source for this market is the Department of the treasury, specifically the data listed under "Daily Treasury Par Yield Curve Rates" for the column "30 Yr" (see: https://home.treasury.gov/resource-center/data-chart-center/interest-rates/TextView?type=daily_treasury_yield_curve&field_tdr_date_value=2026).The 30-year Treasury yield has climbed to approximately 5.27% in early September 2026, up more than 40 basis points over the past month amid a broad selloff in long-duration bonds. Elevated oil prices from renewed U.S.-Iran tensions have stoked near-term inflation concerns, while Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh and other officials have signaled a hawkish tilt, lifting market-implied odds of a 25-basis-point rate hike at the September 15–16 FOMC meeting to roughly 65%. Persistent fiscal pressures—U.S. debt exceeding $40 trillion and heavy Treasury supply—have lifted the term premium, and strong corporate issuance to fund AI infrastructure has competed for long-term capital, pushing real yields higher. Key near-term catalysts include the August employment report, CPI data, and the FOMC decision, all of which could shift the path for long-end rates.
