This market will resolve to "Yes" if SB Energy shares are listed on a public securities exchange and open for trading by 11:59 PM ET on the listed date. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No." To qualify, the IPO must result in the company's shares being listed on a public securities exchange and open for trading. Filing an S-1 or announcing IPO intentions alone does not qualify. If SB Energy is acquired by another company that is already public, this market will immediately resolve to "No." The primary resolution source for this market is official filings and announcements from SB Energy and the relevant securities exchange on which the shares are listed, including SEC filings (e.g., Form S-1, Form 8-A), exchange listing confirmations, and official press releases from SB Energy; however a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.SB Energy's recent SEC S-1 filing on September 1, 2026, marks the key catalyst shifting trader sentiment toward a near-term IPO on Nasdaq under ticker SBE. The SoftBank-backed developer of gigawatt-scale data centers and integrated power assets, including solar and battery storage, targets a $5-7 billion raise at a roughly $50-55 billion valuation amid surging AI compute demand. Its $439 billion contracted backlog, anchored by long-term OpenAI leases across major Texas and Ohio campuses plus Nvidia's $1.5 billion concurrent private placement, underscores strong strategic backing and execution momentum. Risks noted in the filing include heavy reliance on OpenAI as tenant and investor, ongoing net losses, and potential community or regulatory pushback on data center builds. With the registration now public and underwriters including J.P. Morgan and Goldman Sachs in place, the next catalysts center on S-1 effectiveness, pricing, and listing timing.
