Dalibor Svrcina, the No. 1 seed ranked around No. 100 with a balanced 7-7 record in 2026, holds strong trader consensus as favorite over Jacopo Berrettini (No. 304, 1-7 in 2026) in the Barletta Challenger first-round clash on outdoor clay. Svrcina's recent Miami qualifying loss follows solid Challenger results like upsetting Cristian Garin in Cap Cana, bolstering his clay credentials, while Berrettini has dropped eight of his last nine matches, including straight-set defeats in Split and Hersonissos. Lacking head-to-head history, the Czech's ranking edge and form outweigh Berrettini's home-crowd boost in Italy, though fatigue from short turnarounds could factor on the baseline-heavy surface.
