**Market-implied odds favor a highest temperature of 68–71°F on September 4 in San Francisco, driven by National Weather Service and model consensus showing a weakening marine layer, clearing skies after midweek showers, and light westerly winds.** Persistent onshore flow from the cold California Current and residual low-level moisture have kept recent highs in the mid-60s, but reduced cloud cover and a modest pressure gradient on Friday should allow greater solar heating. The narrow spread between the 68–69°F and 70–71°F bins reflects uncertainty in marine-layer depth and exact wind timing—stronger afternoon sea breezes or lingering stratus could cap readings near 68°F, while quicker clearing and lighter winds would support the low 70s. Historical September averages near 70°F provide context, yet early-month marine influences often produce 2–4°F day-to-day variability. Updated NWS and high-resolution model runs tomorrow morning will likely refine these probabilities ahead of the daily maximum.
