Current forecast models and National Weather Service guidance indicate overnight lows in the mid-50s°F for New York City on September 24, driven by persistent northeasterly flow and building high pressure that maintains cooler, drier air masses. Radiational cooling under partly to mostly clear skies, combined with dew points in the 40s and light-to-moderate winds limiting mixing, supports minimum temperatures near 53–55°F at Central Park and similar urban stations. Trader consensus around the 54–57°F bins reflects this guidance alongside modest model spread in cloud cover and exact wind speeds, which can alter the overnight low by 2–4°F. Historical September minima and recent pattern persistence reinforce the implied probabilities near these thresholds ahead of final model runs.
