These cuts, totaling around 700 per reports, signal ongoing efficiency drives, including flatter management structures with up to 50 engineers per manager, but fall short of rumored 20% workforce reductions that Meta dismissed as speculative. Q1 headcount will be confirmed in earnings on April 29, 2026, with focus on whether AI optimizations yielded net declines amid revenue guidance of $53.5-56.5 billion.
