Pittsburgh Pirates (7-5) visit Chicago Cubs (6-6) in an early NL Central clash at Wrigley Field, where trader consensus reflects a tight contest shaped by shaky probable starters Carmen Mlodzinski (0-0, 4.00 ERA) for Pittsburgh and Shota Imanaga (0-1, 4.50 ERA) for Chicago. Cubs face uncertainty with Ian Happ day-to-day (bruised heel, out last two games) and Seiya Suzuki on the 10-day IL (knee sprain), thinning their outfield depth, while Pirates placed INF Jared Triolo on the 10-day IL (knee) last week. Pittsburgh holds a slight edge in recent form and standings, but Cubs' home advantage and cool 49°F weather could favor low-scoring action in this divisional series opener.
