Fourth-seeded Jelena Ostapenko, ranked No. 23 and 2017 French Open champion, meets rising 20-year-old Alexandra Eala (No. 46) in the Upper Austria Ladies Linz second round on indoor clay—the tournament's first clay edition. Eala advanced decisively 6-4, 6-3 over local favorite Julia Grabher in her debut yesterday, extending momentum from her 2-0 head-to-head edge over Ostapenko on grass and hardcourts last year. Ostapenko's powerful baseline game and clay prowess contrast Eala's upset-hunting form, with the Latvian overcoming early-2026 injury setbacks like her ATX Open withdrawal. Trader consensus reflects Ostapenko's seeding, experience, and surface familiarity against Eala's recent qualifier breakthroughs and youth, in this competitive WTA 500 clay swing matchup.
