Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Any revisions to temperatures recorded after data is finalized for this market's timeframe will not be considered for this market's resolution.Official AEMET observations at Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport, the market's resolution station, confirm a highest temperature of 16°C on May 10, with midday readings near 15°C also at Retiro Park, driving trader consensus to 100% on this outcome as final data solidified overnight. This aligned precisely with AEMET's forecast guidance projecting maxima around 16°C under overcast skies and cool northerly winds, remnants of the severe hailstorm and flash floods that struck Madrid on May 7, suppressing convective heating. While Madrid's May climatology averages highs near 21°C (Saffir-Simpson irrelevant here), the mid-level trough pattern created anomalously cool conditions across models like ECMWF and GFS. Realistic challenges—such as rare data revisions from sensor discrepancies—are unlikely given cross-station consistency.
