**Northeast winds and persistent onshore flow are the main factors keeping trader-implied odds clustered around 66–71 °F for New York City’s September 25 high.** Official National Weather Service and ensemble guidance show a breezy, cooler-than-normal pattern with highs forecast in the upper 60s, supported by 15–20 mph northeast winds and a modest chance of showers that could limit daytime warming. This setup deviates from the 1991–2020 climatological average high of 73 °F, tightening the distribution across the 66–67 °F, 68–69 °F, and 70–71 °F bins while leaving lower and higher outcomes with minimal market weight. Fresh model runs and midday observations over the next 48 hours will determine whether any late warming or additional cloud cover shifts the outcome within that narrow range.
