Latest forecast models from the Japan Meteorological Agency indicate a high around 24–26°C for Tokyo on September 23, with ensemble spreads reflecting modest uncertainty from variable cloud cover and light southerly flow. Sea surface temperatures in the adjacent Pacific remain near seasonal norms, supporting limited daytime heating, while a weak frontal boundary may enhance mixing and cap peaks. Historical late-September averages hover near 25°C, providing a baseline that aligns with the tight clustering of market-implied odds between 24°C and 26°C. Final resolution will depend on the official 24-hour maximum recorded at the Tokyo station, with model updates through the evening of September 22 likely to narrow the range before measurement.
