Recent National Weather Service and model guidance shows San Francisco cooling into the mid-60s on August 29 under strengthening onshore flow and a deepening eastern Pacific trough, with west winds of 10-20 mph promoting marine-layer influence and partial cloud cover that limits afternoon heating. This follows several days of near- or above-average warmth and precedes further cooldown, placing the most likely highest temperature near the 64-67°F range while allowing for modest variance from exact clearing timing or station-specific readings. Historical August highs average near 69°F, but the current pattern aligns with below-normal conditions favored by the Climate Prediction Center, leaving traders evenly distributed across the central bins as they weigh subtle differences in wind strength, cloud persistence, and boundary-layer moisture that could shift the daily maximum by a few degrees.
