Recent numerical weather prediction runs, including GFS guidance, indicate Cape Town minimum temperatures on September 24 will likely range 14–16°C under mostly cloudy skies, light westerly to northwesterly winds, and high humidity that limits overnight radiational cooling. These conditions align with the market’s elevated implied probability for 10°C or below (46%) and 15°C (27%), reflecting trader assessment of model spread and potential for localized cooling near the coast or airport station. No strong cold front or anomalous high-pressure setup is forecast to drive sharper drops below historical September norms around 11–13°C. South African Weather Service outlooks through the period emphasize stable, mild patterns with minimal precipitation risk, keeping focus on the next model cycle for any revisions.
