**Tomáš Portlík leads narrowly at 55% amid a crowded field of established party and coalition candidates for the October 2026 Prague city assembly elections, which will determine the next mayor through post-election negotiations.** Portlík, the SPOLU (ODS-TOP 09) nominee and current Prague 9 district mayor plus ODS first vice-chair, benefits from a candidate list heavy with experienced local executives and a platform centered on accelerating housing construction, transport coordination, and school capacity. Other leading contenders—including Petr Hlaváček (STAN), Tereza Nislerová (Pirates), Adam Scheinherr (Praha sobě/Zelení/KDU-ČSL), Jan Hušbauer (ANO, after an earlier withdrawal), and Klára Sovová (Motoristé)—draw support from distinct voter bases, producing closely matched probabilities. The tightness stems from Prague’s fragmented political landscape, where no single list is projected to secure an outright majority, making coalition dynamics and assembly vote outcomes decisive. Recent candidate finalizations and campaign launches in summer 2026 have not produced major shifts, leaving trader consensus sensitive to any late polling on party strengths or signals about potential governing partnerships.
