Rockstar’s official confirmation of an $80 standard edition price for GTA 6 has anchored trader sentiment, producing the 97.7% implied probability on “No.” Take-Two executives repeatedly signaled a $70–$80 range in earnings calls and interviews, aligning with current AAA benchmarks while prioritizing broad accessibility over a steeper jump that could dampen day-one sales for the industry’s biggest title. The June 2026 announcement eliminated speculation about a $100 base tag, with premium editions handling higher tiers instead. Near-certain consensus reflects the finality of that disclosure ahead of the late-2026 launch window. A realistic upset would require an unprecedented post-announcement reversal or regulatory shift, both viewed as low-probability given Rockstar’s track record and market positioning.
