In Brazil's Bahia state Senate race for two Federal seats on October 4, 2026, trader consensus reflects a fragmented field where PT ex-governors Rui Costa and Jaques Wagner hold the top polling positions, leaving second place highly contested among challengers including Angelo Coronel (Republicanos), João Roma (PL), Carlos Sodré, Gregorio Gould (UP), and several others. Late-July Genial/Quaest surveys show these opposition candidates clustered in single digits amid 22-24% undecided and blank/null responses, sustaining tight implied probabilities near 25% for multiple contenders. Recent candidacy registrations and coalition announcements have not yet produced clear separation, with voter preference data indicating that turnout dynamics, rejection rates for established figures, and last-minute campaign momentum could determine which candidate secures the remaining seat.
