Recent National Weather Service guidance and private model runs point to a mostly sunny Thursday with highs near 100 °F across Dallas, sustaining the current heat wave under strong subsidence and light southerly flow. Dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s will produce heat indices above 105 °F, while limited cloud cover and minimal mixing favor peak readings in the upper 90s to low 100s. This setup has anchored trader consensus on the 98–99 °F bin at 60.5 % implied probability, with the 100–101 °F outcome at 26 %. Above-normal September warmth and the absence of frontal passages or increased moisture through the period keep lower bins (96–97 °F and below) as longer shots unless a late-day marine layer or unexpected convective debris develops overnight.
