**Current forecasts for Kuala Lumpur on September 4 position 33–35°C as the most probable range for the daily maximum, with 34°C emerging as the consensus mode among short-range models.** Official guidance from the Malaysian Meteorological Department (METMalaysia) calls for a maximum of 35°C under isolated thunderstorm conditions, while several international models project afternoon peaks near 32–34°C amid partly cloudy skies and light southerly winds. This aligns with September climatology, where mean daily highs average 31–33°C and afternoon convection often limits extreme heating through cloud cover and scattered rain. Recent observations show similar conditions, with highs of 32–34°C on September 2–3 and no strong ridge or subsidence event to push temperatures notably higher. Trader-implied probabilities reflect this narrow band of expected outcomes, weighted toward the upper end of the typical range but below record levels, with limited scope for 36°C+ absent an unexpected shift in steering patterns or reduced cloudiness. Updated model runs and the next METMalaysia briefing remain the key near-term catalysts.

The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=wmkk
If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source.
In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket.
To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C.
This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first.
The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market.
Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.
