Persistent marine layer clouds, light drizzle, and an early-September storm system are suppressing daytime heating across San Francisco, with National Weather Service forecasts calling for a high near 68–69 °F under mostly overcast skies and southwest winds. This setup deviates from the September 3 climatological average of roughly 70 °F, keeping temperatures several degrees below normal and favoring the 68–69 °F and adjacent bins. Recent model consensus and observational trends show little warming potential before peak afternoon hours, while historical analogs of similar early-fall marine intrusions reinforce the cooler outcome. Updated NWS guidance and real-time observations remain the key catalysts for any late shifts in trader positioning.
