Incoming Pacific storm system is the primary driver pushing Seattle's September 2 overnight low into the mid-50s°F range, with NWS and NOAA guidance showing widespread rain, south winds gusting to 25 mph, and cloud cover suppressing radiative cooling. Current model consensus places the minimum near 53–56°F after a mild 60°F low on September 1, aligning with historical early-September averages around 55°F while the frontal passage adds modest cooling. Market-implied odds concentrate on 54–57°F outcomes, reflecting trader assessment of this forecast trajectory and limited downside risk from further intensification. Updated model runs and NWS briefings through early September 2 will refine exact thresholds ahead of resolution.
