Current forecast consensus from National Weather Service and model guidance points to overnight lows in the low-to-mid 50s°F for Seattle on September 5, aligning with market-implied probabilities clustered around 50–55°F. Light northerly winds and partly cloudy skies will permit moderate radiative cooling after sunset, while the moderating influence of Puget Sound and urban heat effects limit further drops. Historical climatology shows an average low near 54.8°F, with recent model runs showing minor spread tied to exact cloud timing and any light showers. Traders appear to weigh the balance between these variables, as slight revisions in evening dew points or wind speeds could shift the minimum by 1–2°F.
