Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), the lab founded in 2024 by former OpenAI chief scientist Ilya Sutskever, has yet to release any public AI model, API, paper, or demo after roughly two years of operation. Trader sentiment centers on a late-July NVIDIA partnership that expands SSI’s compute access by an order of magnitude via the Vera Rubin platform, paired with an unconfirmed investor claim that a first model could arrive in August. These developments have tightened timelines for frontier large language model releases, yet SSI’s explicit “straight-shot” focus on safe superintelligence and its history of total secrecy keep near-term probabilities modest. Key upcoming catalysts include any August announcement, further hardware scaling, or credible leaks on internal benchmarks.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
