**Current forecasts from the National Weather Service and other models indicate a daily minimum temperature in the mid-to-upper 50s°F for Chicago on September 24, driven by persistent northeast winds off Lake Michigan that maintain cooler, stable air under mostly cloudy skies.** Recent heavy rainfall has reinforced this pattern by limiting daytime heating, keeping conditions several degrees below the historical average low of 55°F. With the event only 48 hours away, ensemble model consensus shows limited spread, though subtle shifts in wind direction or cloud cover could alter the exact low by a few degrees. Trader pricing on both sub-48°F and 66°F+ outcomes reflects awareness of these variables and the potential for last-minute forecast adjustments from updated NWS guidance.
