Recent model consensus from sources including the Global Forecast System points to a high temperature in Tokyo on September 22 of 28–30°C under mostly cloudy skies with limited afternoon clearing and light northerly winds. This follows heavy rainfall on September 20–21 associated with a passing low-pressure system, which has suppressed daytime heating but is expected to yield drier conditions and modest warming as cloud cover decreases. Forecasts cluster near or slightly above late-September climatological averages of 26–27°C, with afternoon peaks projected around 29–30°C in multiple runs. Trader positioning across the 29–31°C outcomes reflects uncertainty in the precise timing of clearing and any residual moisture effects on maximum readings. Updated model guidance and official Japan Meteorological Agency briefings in the next 24–48 hours will likely refine these probabilities.
