Recent forecasts from the Japan Meteorological Agency and international models indicate persistent rain and overcast conditions for Tokyo on September 20, driven by northerly to northeasterly flow and a nearby weather system, which is expected to cap daytime heating and keep the maximum temperature near 24°C. This aligns with the market's leading outcomes at 24°C, 23°C, and 25°C, reflecting model consensus on limited diurnal warming amid high humidity, cloud cover, and precipitation totals exceeding 20–80 mm. Current runs show little divergence, with historical September averages around 26–27°C providing context for the cooler anomaly, though minor forecast adjustments in the final 48 hours could shift the exact peak by 1°C. Traders are monitoring the next official JMA update for any changes in steering patterns or rainfall intensity ahead of the daily high resolution.
