Current National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts for Miami on September 18 point to daytime highs in the mid-to-upper 80s amid scattered thunderstorms and persistent northeast flow. This pattern favors the market's leading 86-87°F bin by increasing cloud cover and moisture that limit peak heating, consistent with late-summer climatology where afternoon convection often caps temperatures below the 89°F seasonal average. Key variables include storm timing and coverage—earlier or heavier rain could suppress readings toward 84-85°F—while any clearing or delayed convection raises odds for 88-89°F or higher. Sea-breeze interactions and dew points near 78-80°F add further uncertainty, with model runs expected to refine guidance through the 48-hour window.
