Recent heavy rainfall from a passing weather system has cooled Tokyo ahead of September 22, with overnight lows on the 20th–21st dropping to 21–22°C amid saturated conditions and northerly winds. Official forecasts from the Japan Meteorological Agency and international models converge on a minimum of 21–23°C for the 22nd under partly cloudy skies with scattered showers, as residual moisture and moderate northwest flow limit radiative cooling. This aligns with late-September climatology, where average minima hover near 19°C but recent wet patterns have kept values elevated. Market-implied odds favoring 23–24°C reflect trader assessment of these model runs and the low likelihood of further significant cooling before resolution.
