Recent National Weather Service and private forecasts for Houston project overnight lows in the upper 70s on September 7, primarily due to elevated Gulf moisture, light variable winds, and limited overnight radiational cooling under partly cloudy skies. This pattern aligns with late-summer climatology featuring high dew points that suppress temperature drops. Market-implied odds place 78-79°F as the consensus outcome at 50.5 percent, followed by 76-77°F, reflecting trader assessment of model consensus from NOAA guidance and the absence of stronger frontal systems or tropical influences. Historical September 7 lows average near 74.5°F, yet current conditions favor warmer minima consistent with recent regional observations.
