Latest Met Office and BBC forecasts highlight a transient warm spell for London on September 6, driven by southerly winds advecting milder air ahead of an approaching front, with afternoon highs projected around 25–27 °C under partly cloudy skies. This aligns with the market’s heaviest weighting on 26 °C, reflecting model consensus from GFS and ensemble runs showing limited further intensification. September climatology places average highs near 19–20 °C, so the current setup represents above-normal but not extreme conditions. Key variables include the exact timing of wind shifts and any embedded showers, with updated model guidance expected within the next 24–48 hours that could refine peak readings before resolution based on official station data.
