Recent National Weather Service and model guidance points to a high near 66–69°F for San Francisco on September 3, shaped by a persistent marine layer, on-shore flow, and lingering cloudiness from a weak frontal system. These conditions limit daytime heating along the coast while keeping humidity elevated and suppressing any strong sea-breeze warming. The near-even market weighting between the 68–69°F and 70–71°F bins reflects small forecast differences in afternoon clearing timing and exact marine-layer depth, both of which can shift the peak by a degree or two. Historical September averages near 70°F provide context, but the current cool, damp pattern favors the lower half of that range unless rapid clearing develops.
