Current National Weather Service and model forecasts for Dallas on September 1 point to sunny conditions with highs in the upper 90s to low 100s, driving the tight market split between 98-99°F and 100-101°F. Persistent southerly flow and strong solar heating under high pressure are sustaining above-normal temperatures, roughly 5–8°F above the 93.7°F climatological average for the date, with minimal cloud cover or moisture expected to moderate peak readings. Minor variations in model guidance on exact afternoon maxima and dew points create the narrow spread, as traders weigh official NWS point forecasts against ensemble outputs. Updated model runs and the next NWS area forecast matrices will likely refine these odds ahead of the daily high observation.
