These convective patterns often cap temperatures by increasing cloud cover and evaporative cooling, which explains why the market-implied odds cluster tightly on 88–91°F ranges while assigning lower probability to 92°F+ outcomes. Historical climatology for early September shows average highs around 89°F, providing a baseline that traders appear to weigh against short-term model spread on storm timing and intensity. Updated forecast discussions and any shifts in steering patterns or moisture levels over the next 48 hours remain the key variables that could nudge the realized maximum.
