Current forecast models from the National Weather Service and local outlets project a daily minimum temperature near 63–64°F for Denver on September 5 under partly cloudy skies, with highs in the low 90s. This reflects above-average warmth driven by a persistent ridge of high pressure promoting subsidence and limited cloud cover that moderates overnight radiative cooling. Key variables creating market uncertainty include potential shifts in boundary-layer moisture, light wind regimes that could enhance or suppress cooling, and model spread in dewpoint forecasts. Historical September 5 lows average 53.6°F, so the implied trader balance between sub-58°F and 76°F+ outcomes highlights sensitivity to any late adjustments in steering patterns or frontal timing before resolution.
