Recent polling for São Paulo’s two Senate seats shows a fragmented field ahead of the October 4 first-round vote, with Simone Tebet and Marina Silva holding narrow leads in intention surveys while Guilherme Derrite, André do Prado, and Ricardo Salles remain within striking distance. The crowded candidate list, including Petter Maahs and several lower-polling conservatives, splits the right-leaning vote and sustains uncertainty over exact finishing order. Trader consensus reflected in the market prices assigns roughly even odds across numerous contenders for second place because no single candidate has consolidated broad support or benefited from decisive late momentum. Scheduled campaign start on August 16 and any subsequent endorsements, debate performances, or coalition signals could quickly reorder preferences and widen gaps among the top tier.
