Official Malaysian Meteorological Department forecasts and regional model consensus indicate a maximum of 34°C for Kuala Lumpur on September 21, consistent with September climatology where daily highs average 32–33°C amid high humidity and frequent convective activity. Recent station data through mid-September show peaks of 33–36°C under variable haze and isolated thunderstorms, which can suppress afternoon maxima by limiting insolation. Light winds and a 60% storm chance in some guidance introduce modest cooling potential, keeping the distribution centered on 32–34°C while rendering extremes below 31°C or above 35°C unlikely absent unusual subsidence or clear-sky anomalies. Updated model runs ahead of the date will refine resolution criteria tied to official observations.
