The Chicago Cubs (34-31) host the San Francisco Giants (26-39) for the finale of a three-game set at Wrigley Field on June 7. The Giants erupted for seven home runs in an 18-3 rout on June 5 before the Cubs responded with a 3-2 walk-off victory in 10 innings on June 6, powered by Pete Crow-Armstrong’s two homers and a strong start from Ben Brown. Chicago’s rotation has faced injury challenges, including Edward Cabrera’s recent activation from the injured list, while the Giants’ power surge contrasts with their sub-.500 record and road-trip fatigue. Home-field advantage and recent momentum shape the matchup in a series featuring two teams near the middle of their respective divisions.
