Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs dominate trader consensus for lead underwriter on Anthropic’s anticipated October 2026 IPO, with market-implied odds of 52% and 43% respectively reflecting their selection as the top bookrunners following the company’s confidential S-1 filing in early June. Both banks hold commanding positions in recent large-cap technology offerings, and the narrow spread underscores ongoing competition for the “lead left” designation on the prospectus amid overlapping mandates with rival OpenAI. JPMorgan’s distant 1.6% odds align with its supporting role, while other participants trail due to limited involvement in the initial syndicate. Recent scheduling of investor meetings and Anthropic’s $965 billion private valuation provide the immediate catalyst, though sequencing risks from concurrent mega-deals and final bank positioning remain key swing factors priced into current probabilities.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
