Goldman Sachs holds a slim lead in implied probability for the lead underwriter role in Anthropic’s anticipated IPO, reflecting its established dominance in large-scale technology listings and close involvement alongside Morgan Stanley as the two primary bookrunners. Recent developments, including Anthropic’s confidential S-1 filing and July investor meetings with executives, have reinforced the positioning of these two banks, which command the largest market shares in tech IPOs and maintain strong relationships with high-growth AI firms valued near $965 billion. JPMorgan’s more limited involvement explains its distant odds, while smaller participants face structural barriers in securing the lead-left designation that drives the majority of fees. Market-implied odds capture trader consensus on these competitive dynamics ahead of a potential October listing.

If no IPO occurs by December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or Anthropic completes an initial public offering without a designated lead underwriter, this market will resolve to “Other.”
If multiple banks are identified as lead underwriters, this market will resolve according to the primary lead underwriter. If the hierarchy between them is unclear, this market will resolve once it is conclusively evident which bank is the primary lead underwriter, for example, through the order in which the banks are listed in the underwriting section of Anthropic’s final initial public offering prospectus, once released.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official disclosures from Anthropic. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
