Rising Spanish teen Rafael Jodar, world No. 55, carries strong trader consensus into his Barcelona Open quarterfinal against Cameron Norrie after extending his seven-match winning streak with a 6-3, 6-3 defeat of Camilo Ugo Carabelli on April 15, building on his earlier straight-sets upset of Norrie (world No. 24) in Acapulco's round of 32. Jodar's home-crowd advantage on the outdoor clay courts of Pista Rafa Nadal, combined with his career-high ranking achieved April 13, fuels optimism despite Norrie's experience—he survived a three-set thriller over Stan Wawrinka in round one before dismissing Ethan Quinn in round two. No injuries reported; stylistic edges from their head-to-head favor the NextGenATP star, though Norrie's baseline grinding could extend rallies on clay. Semifinal implications loom against potential foes like Alex de Minaur or Hamad Medjedovic.
