Current National Weather Service guidance points to a high near 68°F for San Francisco on September 6, with morning marine-layer clouds giving way to partial afternoon sunshine under moderate west-southwest onshore flow. This setup reflects typical late-summer coastal dynamics, where cool Pacific air and sea breezes suppress temperatures below inland values. Recent model runs and observations from early September show daily highs clustered around 68–72°F, aligning with the 1991–2020 average of 70°F and the absence of anomalous warming patterns. Trader emphasis on the 68–71°F bins reflects these stable marine influences and limited upside potential absent a shift in steering winds or reduced cloud cover. Updated NWS briefings and high-resolution model outputs will refine the exact maximum ahead of market resolution.
