Official observations from National Weather Service stations in Los Angeles recorded a daily minimum of 68–69°F on September 20, driving the 97% market-implied probability for that bin. This aligns with late-summer climatology under weak onshore flow and clear skies that limited nocturnal cooling, with nearby automated sensors confirming readings in the upper 60s overnight. Historical September lows average near 62°F, but recent dry conditions and above-normal daytime highs supported the milder minimum. Minor station-to-station variations or post-analysis adjustments remain possible, though strong data consensus leaves little room for resolution outside this range.
