The fragmented field of roughly ten declared candidates for Paraíba’s two Senate seats has kept probabilities tightly clustered, with no candidate establishing a clear edge for second place ahead of the October 4 election. Recent candidate registrations and coalition announcements, including PL’s Marcelo Queiroga, MDB’s Veneziano Vital do Rêgo and André Gadelha, and Republican Nabor Wanderley, have underscored the competitive landscape without shifting momentum decisively. Limited polling data through mid-2026 shows high undecided shares and scattered preferences, reflecting the state’s multi-party dynamics and the challenge of consolidating support behind any single challenger. Traders’ consensus around 43–50% for leading names captures this uncertainty, where turnout patterns, last-minute alliances, or stronger survey releases could separate contenders before ballots are cast.
