National Weather Service analyses and nearby ASOS data confirmed modest temperatures consistent with climatological norms for mid-June, where average highs hover near 80°F but can fall several degrees under increased cloud cover and onshore flow. Trader consensus reached 100% implied probability once preliminary hourly readings and preliminary climate reports aligned precisely within this narrow band, reflecting high confidence in verified station data over model projections. Only a post-event quality-control revision by NOAA or an undetected sensor anomaly at KMDW could alter the outcome before final certification.
