These conditions moderate peak solar heating and promote localized evaporative cooling, keeping the high from exceeding the implied threshold while aligning with May climatology that centers on 34–36°C. Traders have converged on the 36°C outcome because recent observational trends and short-range model runs show little deviation from this level, with minimal upside risk from clearer skies or stronger insolation. Resolution hinges on the official daily maximum recorded at the Manila synoptic station, with any late-day convective activity or measurement adjustments representing the main variables that could shift the final reading.
